Electrician requests, 24/7
Emergency Electrician in Singapore
Power keeps tripping, half the flat is dark, or a socket has gone dead? Tell us what happened and where you are. We pass your request to an electrician who covers your area, and they call you with a price.
- Power trips that will not reset
- RCCB, ELCB and circuit breaker replacement
- DB box faults and upgrades
- Dead sockets and burnt power points
Power tripped? Do this first.
A power trip is your home's safety system doing its job: a breaker has cut the power because something is wrong. Before you call anyone, check whether it is just your home or the whole block. Look at the corridor lights and your neighbours' windows.
- The whole block is dark: it is a supply problem, not your wiring. Call SP Group's 24-hour Electricity Service Centre on 1800 778 8888 (SP Group).
- Only your home, or part of it: open your distribution board (DB box). If the RCCB or one circuit breaker is down, that is a fault inside your home, and that is what we help with.
If it trips again straight after you reset it, stop resetting it. That is the moment to send a request. Get a free estimate →
A request line for electrical faults
Emergency Electrician Singapore is a referral service. We are not an electrical contractor and we do not send our own staff. When you send a request, we pass it to an independent electrician who serves your area, who calls you, quotes and does the job.
In Singapore, electrical work such as wiring and RCCB installation must be done by a licensed electrical worker (LEW) licensed by the Energy Market Authority (MTI, 2022). Ask whoever comes for their LEW licence number, and check it on EMA's ELISE register.

Why Homeowners Use Us
Price before work
The electrician quotes before starting. Published 2026 guides put power-trip diagnosis at S$60 to S$150, before parts, so agree the total first.
Licensed work
Wiring and RCCB work must be done by an EMA-licensed electrical worker. Ask for the LEW number before work starts.
The right first question
We ask whether it is your home or the whole block, so you are not paying an electrician for an SP Group supply fault.
No fee to us
You do not pay Emergency Electrician Singapore anything. You deal with the electrician directly.
RCCB or circuit breaker: which one tripped?
Open your DB box and look for the switch that is down.
- The RCCB (or ELCB) tripped. It cuts power when it detects current leaking to earth, often from a faulty appliance, a water heater, or water getting into a socket or fitting. Unplug appliances on the affected circuits and reset it. If it trips again immediately, the fault is still connected.
- One circuit breaker (MCB) tripped. That circuit was overloaded or shorted, for example too many heavy appliances on one circuit or a damaged cable.
A tripping RCCB is a protective action, not necessarily a faulty RCCB. Do not keep resetting it and never bypass it. If it will not stay on, send a request and an electrician finds the fault.
What People Ask Us
My power keeps tripping. What should I do?
Check if the whole block is affected. If it is, call SP Group on 1800 778 8888. If only your home is, unplug appliances and reset the RCCB or breaker once. If it trips again, stop resetting it and get an electrician to find the fault.
How much does it cost to fix a power trip?
Published 2026 guides put power-trip diagnosis at S$60 to S$150 before parts, a circuit breaker (MCB) replacement at S$120 to S$180, and an RCCB or ELCB replacement at S$180 to S$280. Many firms add a S$30 to S$60 call-out fee, often waived if the repair goes ahead (The Money Bees).
Does an electrician in Singapore need a licence?
Yes. Electrical work such as wiring and RCCB installation must be done by a licensed electrical worker licensed by the Energy Market Authority.
Is this an electrical company?
No. Emergency Electrician Singapore is a referral service. Requests go to independent electricians who serve your area. See our referral disclosure.
Who do I call if the whole block has no power?
SP Group's 24-hour Electricity Service Centre on 1800 778 8888. A supply fault outside your home is SP Group's to fix, not an electrician's.
